Dragon and Tiger Qigong

Announcing DRAGON AND TIGER MEDICAL QIGONG Classes

We are pleased to announce the addition of an incredible program of exercise for health. That program is Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong (“chee-gung”).

The Dragon and Tiger program is a set of seven easy (and yet challenging) movements, that are fun to learn, and that enhance the energy levels in the body. In practicing the moves, people see improvement in their flexibility and balance. It is a comprehensive series lasting 10 weeks.

It is a great way to begin to feel the energy moving in your body, if you do not already experience that. It is important to have the energy within the body move for health and longevity, and to clear blockages and stagnant areas. This enables better health and stamina.

It utilizes the acupuncture meridians, or pathways in the body to help get a sense of “flow” internally. The meridians, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, carry vital life force energy, or “chi” (chee) throughout the body, maintaining good health.

Classes are one hour in length, and come with thorough instruction, and detail to form and safety. There is a warm up series that is done each week. Students are encouraged to practice daily, and there are specific practice assignments you will get each week. Doing this daily practice will help you harness the concepts of this health routine, and allow you to feel the energy more acutely in your body.

This particular learning series is an extremely beneficial program that allows a person to build practice skills to help them for a lifetime. Although it is one of the easiest qigong exercise sets, Dragon and Tiger is still a challenge to learn and perform. It is a fairly complex exercise, but it is broken down into understandable lessons, with practice elements to help you master the moves.

Registration is open, so sign up to reserve your seat.

Join in on tai chi and qigong classes!

Anyone can benefit from practice: these disciplines are known to be helpful for enhancing longevity and the quality of life.

If you are rehabilitating, the slow, conscientious movements and techniques of tai chi and qigong can help recovery. Both disciplines promote aspects of flexibility and strength.

Both tai chi and qigong practices are great ways to help a person relax, refocus, and re-energize.
